Research

The Cancer Society funds around 50 percent of cancer research in New Zealand through project grants for scientists and others. Their research has international importance. This means every New Zealander's voluntary contribution plays a vital role in world-wide efforts to prevent and control cancer.

The Medical and Scientific Committee of the Wellington Division has set out the following guidelines for Research Grant Applications, medical libraries and summer studentships.

Grant Applications

Deadlines for the submission of applications are the 1st of the months in which the Medical and Scientific Committee meets. Meeting dates are planned for: February, May, August and October.  All applications must be emailed to michaels@cancersoc.org.nz.
