With the change in Covid-19 alert levels, we want people with cancer to know we’re still here for information, advice and support.
Our supportive care nurses are available to provide support over the phone and via email at every alert level.
Face-to-face support groups, programmes and our massage service are currently suspended.
Transport to treatment is still available, with precautions in place.
The Cancer Society’s Margaret Stewart House in Wellington, and Daffodil House and Daffodil Lodge in Christchurch remain open for people who need to travel for treatment at Wellington or Christchurch hospitals.
If your body’s immune system has been weakened by cancer or cancer treatment, the risk of you having a serious infection is higher – so it’s important for people living with cancer to take extra care to stay well at every alert level.
